I was just wondering I have a 1960 413 and the heads dont have any holes at all for an alt/ Gen. Was there any special about them in that year?

Nothing at all special about them performance-wise.

In 1960, Mopars except for Valiant still had generators, and the 413's generator bracket would have been part of the exhaust manifold casting - no mounting holes in the head.

Correct, nothing special about them........Unless you happen to need a set that look correct (without the alt bolt holes tapped). I was restoring a 1960 413 a while back, the engine had water in it and the chambers were rsuted and heavily pitted, took me almost a year to find good replacments! Not high demand parts, nothing HP about them (small valves), and they don't bring big bucks ($50.00-$150.00 on average as cores) but definately unique.

Thanks Guys, i didn't think there was anything special about them, but if they were special i would have taken them off and put a set of 67 915 heads on it( just to save them). Now i know the intake is worth some $$$ (long ram) Right??.

Its still Priceless to see peoples faces when they ask whats in my 70 swinger..

Them: 340
me: Nope
them: slant six
Me: No its a 413
Them: WHAT IS THAT? Chrysler never made that size
Me: Long story think of it as like a 440.

I think i might just start saying 440 and save my self the headaches lol

Thank again Guys

The 915 heads would have the same chamber shape but bigger valves/more power, good swap idea. The Long Ram intakes are valuable, price depends on completeness (allot) and condition. They aren't much good to anyone for big power, they make torque at low rpms and flatten out quickly and don't fit the engine bays of most cars (no A,B, or E-body cars) without serious hacking. The restoration guys and Street Rod guys (for the wierd looks) are the ones who usually end buying them.
