Help identify this hood release linkage - 11/22/23 03:03 PM

I have parted many B-bodies over the years. This hood release linkage is either from a 69 Charger or 69 Coronet. It measures 7" end to end. Can someone measure theirs and let me know? Thanks in advance, WINGNUT

Hi John, This linkage is for a hood release, not a door. WINGNUT

My guess would be for a Charger. The plastic grille was farther forward on the 68-70 (and newer) Chargers were they were on the Coronets. The lever to o[pen the hood was farther forward on the Charger, so that rod to the actual latch had to be longer. Would have been for the grill mounted hood release, not an inside hood release car. Can't help with a part number, but if I was looking for a number, I would be looking in the 68 or 69 parts book, many of the later cars got the inside release. Could also have been used on a 71 & 72 Plymouth Satellite, the non-inside release on those was also more out front then "normal".

A friend just measured his linkage on his 69 Charger, 8" long. I think you may be right on other models, 70 charger also uses an offset linkage. Anybody with a 70 that can measure it for me? WINGNUT
