Both trucks are short beds, 2014 is a crew cab and the 2002 is a regular cab, other than the body lines being different, will the 2014 bed fit on the 2002 truck?

I doubt anyone has actually done this! I have seen plenty of fourth gen front bumpers on second gen trucks...

Are both short beds the same length? As these trucks get newer, the "short bed" name takes on different meanings. There could be a couple of inches difference between the two "short beds".
I would suspect that as long as the mounting holes are in the same location on the same crossmembers, and there is clearance between the front of the bed sides and the cab corners, it would bolt on. In addition to the bed side style, there could be a lot of other details (like taillights) that could become a problem.
