Aftermarket consoles - 05/10/23 05:30 PM
I'm thinking about buying an aftermarket console for my Dart and wanted to ask if anyone here has bought an aftermarket console (the type with the cup holders built in) for your Mopar and if so, how did it fit and look? I haven't found much specifically for Mopars but there are some for Mustangs and Corvairs that I thought might be narrow enough to fit in between the buckets in my Dart.

Have you considered a clean center console from a more modern wrecked car at a pick and pull? The advantage is the quality would be high and you could do a quickie set it in visual mock up- and if you don't like it simply return it.

No, I hadn't thought of that. The thing is the console can't be very wide to fit in between my seats. I've only got about 7" seat to seat.

The buckets and console look great. Might have to call this thread "modern console and bucket seats installed on a b-body done on a budget".

Do you have an original console? Are you looking for just a cup holder? If you have an original console you could make a cup holder insert for the bottom. You would need to make a latch to hold the lid open.
