Dunno, but my 87 318 had them. I believe the E58 360 all had them too.

well I have a 67/68 440 .020" ( to mount on my 400 standart ) ring set being moly

Anyone sure what year the factory started using moly rings in the engines?

not sure when they started but my '68 road runner had cast iron rings and a rope seal; bought the car new. late 60's maybe very early 70's moly rings and neoprene rear main seals were kind of a new thing.

My early ? 340 had moly rings from the factory, can't remember the year 71 or72 maybe, but I don't think 318's etc. got them that early or 360's either.
