Digital dash.. - 04/16/09 10:55 AM

My uncle has a 'Dakota Digital' Digital dash in his 66 Chevelle, and it looks sweet! It has all the gauges needed, and the computer can be set at the push of a button for different gears and tire sizes. It also has 1/4 mile measurement/estimates as well as distance to empty for the fuel. Has the adjustable dimmer for the lights and all the dummy warning lights, turn signal indicators, the whole nine yards....

What do you guys think of one of those for a '74 Duster? It's actually cheaper than purchasing all the same gauges from Autometer. Plus it looks pretty professional when installled.

Problem is, the company doesn't make one for the Duster (or any other Mopar as far as i can tell) but the 3"x13" universal 5 gauge will fit perfectly with a little custom trim holding it in.

Here is the link:

I guess I just want to know if any of you have installed one or if you would....

Thanks for the help!

Leaving Iraq and will be stateside in 8 days!!

Not using Dakota Digital, but will be using Nordskog. Dakota doesn't make it in red, also Nordskog speedo will be GPS, seen Dakota at Hot Rod trade Show last month in Indy and was impressed with them, sat though a seminar they had and seems like a very helpful company. As far as looks, it's to each his own, but I like the look. PM me if want to get it and I will check and see if I can get a better price. Take care coming back and thanks

I used one of their 6 gauge universal clusters in my 66 Coronet. I added the sender for the gear display as well.

I haven't heard good things about the Nordskog dashes. I know a guy back home put one in his truck and it kept going dead, he sent it back, and they sent him another one that refused to turn on. I would happily look into the Nordskog, just a little leery after hearing that.

That Coronet looks really nice. I was going to use a brushed aluminum trim around it to hold it in.... always looking for suggestions though.

I have 2 nordskog and 2 dakota guages in my care right know. The nords i have are a tach and the voltmeter. The voltmeter i have works great the tach however goes in and out all the time or shows ms idling at 2000 rpm and crusing at 9900 rpm

The dakotas imo are a nice loking display and no problems with either right know i have there temp and oil gauges
