E Body Street Car Shock Recommendation ? - 04/14/09 04:48 PM

Looking for advice/experience with shock upgrades for my sig car. I currently have KYB's which came with the car and IMHO don't work very well. I'm looking for a decent handling medium to high priced street shock with no racing involved. I'm not too concerned with looks as I have a can of spray paint and I know how to use it! Thanks.

Get the Edelbrock IAS. They come in red or gray. Handle great and a nice, smooth ride. I gave up my rough riding KYB's years ago.

I don't have them but I hear alot of praise about QA1's from the people that do have them. Apparently double adjustables are the way to go but they are pricey.

If you are going to go for adjustables, go for the monotube style with the adj at the top of the shock. The less expensive twin tube type adjustables are the ones with the knobs on the bottom.

I have the single adjustable QA1's on my Challenger and I like them, I'd imagine the double adjustable would be even better. You can with a twist of a knob or 2 go from drag/handling to comfort.
