Member Dayclona (Mike) posted this a few years back:

"If you have access to McMaster Carr, meaning you need a business account to purchase,...McMaster has "weld studs", steel, PN# 93865A235 this should spec out for the Shaker application, the weld head is just under 5/8" in diameter, .083 thick, 1/4"-20 thread 1" long, pkg of 100, $14.58"

I think he probably wants the early ones the factory used shown on the left with the 5 over S B markings.

Well, I do not have a business account with McMaster so I cannot buy from them. It would be nice to find some originals as pictured from Terry but I have never seen those advertised for sale.
You go to Ebay and it seems just about every bolt has been reproduced but no shaker studs. Is there some alternative stud that can be used?
Thank you.

If you dont mind scrounging around, Chrysler used these on lots of other applications.
26 inch B and C-body radiator straps....bottom bracket on some window applications, and E-body window part.
Many other applications as well where I have seen them, just have to remember where.
Tough part is separating them from the metal

Years back, you needed to have a business account in order to purchase thru McMaster Carr, not so anymore, you can open your own account or purchase/pay directly, no minimum purchase either, McMaster Carr has quite a large inventory, also offer assistance in finding items they don't offer, most items ship within 1-3 days unless noted on your order...Mike G

There in lies the problem for most restorers wanting factory spot welded studs, they don't have the 3 phase powered water cooled automotive resistance spot frame welder and assorted electrode adapter ends needed.....

I have some if you need them. Not with the numbers just what are on the repro parts.

Without a special holding fixture, any attempt to spot weld them on would disrupt (i.e. mar) the critical surface markings.
I'd imagine a fixture could be rigged up by a shop, but for only a few welds not worth it to them.

Possibly braze them on. Then stamp on the markings
