The 'Ol auto to stick question, I need HELP!!!! - 06/12/08 04:22 AM

OK, in a nutshell, I decided the '73 Roadrunner needs to get back on the road. Got me a 440 and I can't help myself, I just bought a 4spd and pedal assy out of a junked '73. The motor came out of a project Charger but has the numbers 4T440 on the pad. (Truck?)
The stumpers are:
The motor isn't drilled for a pilot bushing,
The dampner is marked 3614374 (400 cast crank?)
The crank looks forged, and has the #3751888-6 for a casting number.

The question is, do I use a jeep pilot bushing and just cut down the trans input shaft?
Should I pull the crank and drill it?
What's the deal on the flywheel balance?
Can I use a Hurst shifter if I get the aluminum adapter plate and the correct shift rods? (Would like to keep my console, the trans was out of a bench car and I didn't think to get the shifter.)

Or, should I just shoot myself in the head now?

I am no virgin to auto to stick conversions, this will be my first Mopar though. (Sure, gotta experiment with MY toys.)
