68 Ply Fury blower motor not working - 10/15/21 05:11 PM

My son's 68 fury has no action on the blower motor on any switch position and the fuse is good. Any quick thoughts on this, is there a hidden relay or anything simple to check short of taking the dash apart? Thanks

Jumped a wire from motor to bat and motor blows, must be something in the dash

Some basic areas to look....................

Check for voltage at the fuse.
Nothing on either side=problem is ahead of the fuse box.
Voltage on both sides=problem is after the fuse box. follow the wiring and eventually you'll find the problem.

Check for voltage at resistor block, check resistor block for open circuit. They do melt and fail.

Because the old cars usually didn't have any relays, all the power goes through the switch.....
check the switch by removing it and inspecting, they often melt internally.

IIRC, on high speed the blower resistor is bypassed?
