1969 road runner glove box latch direction

Hi All
Does the "V" cut out on a 1969 B Body glove box catch face into the glove box (towards front of car) or out of the glove box? (towards back of the car)

Try it both ways so you don't forget

If I remember correctly, it will only work in one orientation.
I can check my '68 in a bit if needed...

The rod is closer to the seat, away from the dash, if that makes sense.
