1968 Roadrunner Proportioning Valves - 02/02/21 03:58 PM

Does anyone have pic's of how to route the brake lines from the master cylinder
to the proportioning valves? I changed over to front disc brakes, so I think there
is a second proportioning valve? Would like to see how they mount/run.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,
Jim

I *believe* all the b bodies routing is similar.
There is proportioning, metering and safety switch

Thanks, the pic's kind of helped. The problem I have is the rear
line from the master cylinder does not reach the bigger block. And
I have no idea how the smaller block mounts?

Thanks,
Jim

What brakes did you use. The original Bendix disc 67-69 had a normal distribution block under the MC on the fender well. The proportioning valve is down stream along frame rail under driver side. A line from the Distribution block went to it, then the output back to the differential Tee. For B bodies there was no metering valve until the 70 Kelsey Hayes disc set up for B and E.

Hi,

I used the Right Stuff conversion kit. The master cylinder ports come out the left drivers side.

Thanks,

Left side exit was hemi only 68 up (67 odd year), the B body otherwise had right side exit. Not significant. The kit should work, I would ask Right stuff. What type of valve did the kit come with, or does it have you use originals? More info really needed, but the service manual would help you. If they use a meter valve for their setup, the line to the rear should still me the same from distribution block. Mopar started changing the block to a single combined unit in 71. So pictures would help know what you have. Some kits use there own valves.
