I am looking for anything that isn't the mopar performance wrinkle ones or the stock looking sheet metal ones. I want something nice and clean. Preferably with out any writing on them.
Thanks
Chris

There were some on ebay that were welded aluminum. They looked nice but were expensive, of course all Magnum VC are expensive.

I was trying to have some made, but the original cost to what I would have to sell them for killed my plans. You can use regular valve covers from what I was told, just can't use two bolts on bottom ledge. I like the extra bolts on magnum heads, never seen a set like like the LA head covers do.

I have some NOS cal custom valves that I'm gonna put on mine.

I run LA valve covers on my magnum heads. The 5 LA bolt holes line up with 5 of the 10 magnum holes. I also use a metal core composite VC gasket and have not leaked a drop in 25k miles.

If someone does begin a small business making custom Magnum Valve Covers, a useful improvement would be to make more effective the oil vapor baffling below the PCV fitting.

Chrysler has some US Patents you can look over on this subject.

An improved design oil vapor baffle would allow running a bit more compression ratio, and would also reduce carbon deposit formations

It might also be a worthwhile idea to place both PCV and breathers on each valve cover, while reducing the flow of each PCV to half the original factory rating. With half flow coming from two directions the existing oil baffling would be more effective, as high flow from the single factory PCV almost always will drawn in more tiny oil droplets, which you do not want.

It is worth looking at the very different PCV systems on the Magnum V8s versus the V10s.

The devil is in the details.

Edelbrock just released a new valve cover for the magnum. Saw them at the March Meet and they looked nice.

CLASSIC ALUMINUM VALVE COVERS
Edelbrock first made these aluminum valve covers in the late '50s and they're still a classic. Made of heavy-gauge sand-cast aluminum, our classic finned valve covers are available in either a classic polished aluminum or durable black powder coated finish. Overall height is measured from base to top at the highest point. Edelbrock classic valve covers can be machined to accept breathers if desired.

Use some regular valve covers for an "LA". they work great and all the holes line up.

It's my understanding that many GM parts work well on the magnum heads. Springs, retainers, covers, cheap GM roller rockers, etc.

Small block Mopar VC's will work, with a good gasket.

Of course, I did the stock style.
