My understanding is the column shift linkage needs to fit or be compatible with the car regardless of 904/727.
For example, I'm using the factory column shift setup on my 75 Scamp that originally had 225/904/7.25
but will now have 383/727/8.75.
You should be looking into 68-70 column shift B Bodies.

1970 model year steering columns are unique to the 1970 model year.

I'd imagine the LA and B/RB engine 727 linkage is the same.

904 stuff is different from 727 stuff.
