904 tailshaft - 01/29/20 10:52 PM

Is a 904 (999) tailshaft out of a 82 full size van the same length as one from a car?
TIA

If you have a measurement I could compare to one I have in the shop from a passenger car.... thinking it’d be the same

I don't have any other info yet. I've been looking for a 999 non lockup for a while, I think I found one but it is in a full sized 82 van but I'm not able to see it. It would be going in my Cuda.

I have never seen a different length 904 based transmission. The tail shaft may be different in that the small cover for the output bearing snap ring may be on the side instead of on the bottom but the length is still the same.

didn't some of those have a mount on top of the tail housing instead of just behind the oil pan ?
or am i thinking of something else ?

A 999 from an '82 B-van is the same and interchangeable with many passenger cars.
