1966 coronet pitman arm replacement

So I thought as I go back together with my suspension and steering I would put new pitman and idler arms on my 66 Coronet. It has manual steering. So no trouble on the idler arm got a moog part without issue, but the part store say nothing for pitman arm. So I did some looking online and basically the only one I saw was a proforged unit part number 103-10030. Summits site basically says 62-72 B &E body power or manual box so I order one. Well looking at it tonight it’s made different as far as contour vs the original. Sort of looks like it might locate the pivot ball in the same place but hard to say that for sure. Can anyone say for sure? Other thing is with the kick out made on the new part would that effect oil pan or header clearance? Both of my parts I’m concerned with say they fit with factory suspension.2 1/8 TTI hemi headers and Milodon oil pan with side kick out for 7 quarts but no lower than stock pan. I have attached pictures if anyone can say for sure or has any experience I would appreciate the help.

I understand your question & there is a big difference visually. I do not know if you will have any different geometry or interference however - someone will need to chime in with feedback. I'd have the same concerns if it was my car.

The shape of the arm isnt really a factor. AS long as the master splines location is in the same position relative to the stud end , As well as the amount of drop from one end to the other needs to be the exact same

If thats the original arm ( IMO ) have it rebuilt and keep it, these are NOT getting any easier to find. ( I have an NOS original arm stashed away and I dont even have a car it fits,,,,,,YET )

Had the same thing with my 66 coronet ,the shape was different but both ends are in line with the old one , no issues at all , put it on .

I bought a Moog years ago from Ehrenberg for my 67 Coronet. Looked like the new one you have. He said something like it was a fix I think for the E bodies and it was guaranteed to fit. Don't think I ever used used bit its possible - I had several new ones on the shelf.

I would use it of it fits.

I have a 1966 Dodge Coronet Deluxe 2 door sedan that I bought to make a street hotrod out of,it had 43,000 miles on the speedometer and it had sat in a local tow yard for the last 27 yrs. before I bought it in 2014 or so
I did rebuild the entire front end with Moog parts,including replacing the front drum brakes with a disc brake kit from one of the Hi Po brake kit company back east(CRS on the name now)
I can't remember now if I needed to replace the Pitman arm now or not, I bought one but I may still have it out in the shop.
If so I'll use it on my 1963 Fury when I do it in the next couple of years

My original doesn’t seem worn out. Car has been off the road since 78-79 and shows 50,000k on the odometer. Just thought might be better to go ahead and take care of it while I was going through it. May just re-install the original, to be honest the idler doesn’t seem bad either, but might do it to be on safe side. Anyway I pulled the original pitman arm tonight to compare the height for the most part it looks the same. I’ll add some pictures you guys can give me your thoughts.
