Oil filter

Hey all,

I am wondering which brand oil filter are people feeling is the best right now? Also who runs synthetic oil with Zddp additive?

Napa is what I have been told...

Wix non race filters better than their high flow low restriction race filters do, the race filters down to 40 Microns and the standard non race filters takes out trash down to lower than 20 microns
Last I heard Wix made the NAPA Gold label oil filters
I use a remote mounted oil filter adapter that uses the larger, better filtering NASCAR type oil filters from Wix that are like the Fram race HP6 filters
Lot bigger inlet and outlets on them, flow way more oil than a stock size Mopar filter will

Flow is determined either by the biggest restriction in the system or the capacity of the pump, whichever is less. You maybe wasting your money on high flow filters.

wix only, here for over 40 years.
baldwin and purolator have been known to be good ones.

I am still using Napa gold. At one time they were proven to be very good, although that proof may be out of date...

Pick your brand and buy several at one time. Hastings and Wix have good reputations.

I use mopar or Napa Gold filters. Been running Valvoline VR1 oil in my engines.

I’d say the results were positive...maybe I’ll give it a try.

The last comprehensive study I read on oil filters, which was recent, had Amsoil, K&N, and Mobil1 as the top overall Oil Filters.

For the people that only put a couple hundred miles per year, does it really matter?

Emphatically Agree with Pacnorth, cut open a Fram and a Wix and then say it doesn't matter.
Only inexpensive filter I would consider is a Motorcraft FL-1A. It is made by Purolator, fits our stuff and is a respectable filter for a low end price.

Why use a POS filter like a Fram, when for $2.00 more, you can use the best?

Hey Sunroof for $2 LESS you can get a BETTER filter than Fram. Fram carries the good filter price but is just a piece of crap. Frams should be priced at 99 cents for how their constructed.

Jomat 100% no-bypass oil filters are the only ones I use on my Mopar engines.
