Back bench removaln

Hi all

Need to take the back bench out of my 77 Aspen station wagon in hope of maybe finding my lost wallet.
I suppose they’re screwed in? Don’t have a lift so getting under the car might be a bit difficult.

Any hints greatly appreciated!

Every seat in any car I've ever seen is bolted from underneath. You will have to reach under the car with a ratchet to remove them. You shouldn't have to remove the seat but with the bolts removed, you can just rock the seat over far enough to look under it. Good luck finding your wallet.

I don't know about station wagon seats, but I've yet to run across a mopar with a bolted in back seat bottom.

Front seats, yes. Back seats, no. Whether it was my 51 Plymouth, 65 Cuda, 87 Diplomat, 96 Neon, none of them had a bolted in back seat bottom.

Usually, you have to push the front edge of the seat bottom backward to disengage it from a couple of rear-facing hooks. If your rear seat folds flat, it may be different.

I agree, my Aspen wagon back seat bottom popped out like any other rear mopar seat from the era.

No wallet though which sucks big time: far too much cash, id card, banking cards and titles for ALL my cars, driving license, insurance, the lot.
