15" by 8" with 4" backspace on e body

Hi all, will 15 X 8 with a 4" backspace work on a 71 Cuda without the wheels sticking past the quarter panels? Does anybody have a photo of this they can post? Thanks, Rob

I'm pretty sure that the backspacing on these 15x8 rears are 4". Tire is 255 70r15. I had to trim/roll the lip on the driver side just a touch because the rear end is slightly offset in the body. They go right out to the edge of the fender lip. 255 is about max with that offset to the fender but I think there is at least an inch to the springs on the inside.

These are 8" with 4.5" backspace tires are ET Street R bias 28 x 11.50 x 15 almost the same size as P275/60/15 R. They barely clear 4" would rub.

You need 15 x 8 with 4.5 backspace , that is what most wheel makers advise.
