91 318 head gasket set. 16 o-rings? what for?

Hi all.

I have a 91 D150 and would like to change the valve seals this weekend. I may yank the heads if I don't have luck with my little valve spring compressor and air in the sparkplug hole to hold the valve up.
I ordered a headset apex brand AHS2060. It came with 16 o-rings and the felpro kit HS26179PT comes with them also.

Does anyone know what they are used for?

This is a TBI motor with normal LA shaft mounted rocker arms.

They look like injector o rings. Doesn't matter that your engine doesn't use them. The aftermarket frequently gets things like this wrong.

I would say Guitar is correct. that tbi 91 eng does not require such o-rings that would go above and below magnum port injectors, that you ain't got.

Ya I think you guys are on to something with the MPI injectors. Probably cheaper to just toss them in then make a separate bag with out them.

I just hope the valve stem seals are the correct ones. I am used to seeing the older 2 different umbrella style ones for the E and I valves. These are all the same and look like they press on and latch on to the the valve guide.

Lol I didnt even notice the plenum gasket. I was just looking at the valve seals when I opened it.

The felpro kit doesn't come with the plenum but has the same headgaskets and o-rings. Apex and Felpro lists it as 1991 only. 318. I found a few photo's of the Felpro box and it says 1991 only. 89 and 92 are different sets.
