A old distributor pick up plug can be used IIRC. I have this used one but it was cut close to the plug. I will mail it to you if you want it.

Thanks, but I was hoping to find a new one locally....I thought Standard Ignition made one but my local parts store can't find it and I've googled with no luck...

On a side note people have suggested to spiral those wires together along their length

I bought one years ago when I converted to electronic distributor. Bought it from Dorman @ auto parts store.

Is it the same as a battery tender connector? Just a thought.... maybe a bad thought lol

literally just bought one on sunday from the local orielys.
It is in the trailer connectors section.
it is double ended, so you would have to cut off one end to wire it up.
was like 4 bucks.

Think I would get a new pickup with pigtail to keep wires continuous, unless you have a special pickup coil that you want to keep.

What makes you think he needs it for the pickup side?

Unless you wanted OE I would go with the O'reillys item & any 2 wire trailer pickup of that type would work fine & if needed you can alter rotor phasing by reversing the phasing on the 2 leads when you solder em together.

Is the one you bought the same size as the distributor connector? The ones I've found at the parts store look the same but they're smaller.

I'd go ahead & grab it & you cant go wrong for $4 & if it wont plug in to the other half then you are out only haveing to solder 4 wires instead of 2.

I noticed that as well. The NSS wire harness uses the same 2 pin and a single pin to make the connections, the trailer plugs are 90% the same but slightly off. It will 'work' and make an electrical connection but not have the oem fit up.

Except it's a lot cheaper to just buy the pig tail to fix the non pickup side than it is to buy a new pickup, cut off the pigtail and splice it in.
