Rear Leaf Spring Rebuild Kits - A-Body

Anyone purchase a rear leaf spring rebuild kit recently for an A-Body?

I purchased an A-Body rebuild kit from a well known Mopar vendor. When we began to reassemble the rear leaf springs, we noticed some of the bands/straps in the A-Body kit appeared to be for B or E-Body vehicles? The bands/straps were too long and would not retain properly around the leafs. The tab would not align in the hole as a result. Anyone else have a similar issue? Anyone have luck with a kit that had strap sizes for 3-leafs and not 4 or 5? Please see the attached photos of the issue.

it might have been a pkg error on the vendors' part. I would call him.

hi vinny, the short clamp that wraps around 3 springs should measure 1 3/8 from inside clamp to bottom of the 1/2" square. I get mine from badalson, but I think one of our members in texas is making the spring parts/ zincs but don't remember his name. the clamps in pics are the med length. ronnie

I've purchased quite a few parts from this vendor and they are working with the manufacturer to address the issue. I figured this was a mis-build/mis-package at the manufacturer. I can only say GREAT things about this vendor's products and customer service. They did nothing wrong in this situation. I also purchased a rebuild kit to restore a set of B-Body leaf springs, so I will put that set together while they address this issue.
