drum brake question - 03/15/09 09:28 PM

i was changing out my third member and when I was putting my brakes back I noticed the push rod was extended alittle too much and I took the boot off the cylinder and its extended alittle over a 1/4 inch and the brake shoe does'nt seat right...so my question is.... is the cylinder shot or can I bleed it down??

piston pop out? If so you can just push it back in if you don't fold the cup over. Then just re bleed the brakes

Crack the bleeder loose.

Push piston in. Careful - Push both pistons in at the same time.
Tighten screw.

assemble brakes.
