Where to get Lexan? Wasn't sure what everyone was doing and I wanted to get something that didn't scratch easily...

No help on where to get it, but if you want to keep it in good shape, get some Plexus polish for it. The Lexan in my Valiant is over 15 years old and that is what the previous owner used.

If it does get scratched you can polish it out with a Powerball and a headlight restorer polish.

What you probably want is polycarbonate sheet. Lexan and Macrolon are brand names of polycarbonate. You can get it at www.eplastics.com if you don't have a local source. There are also quite a few sellers on ebay.

Lexan is sold under many different hardness for different application, for airplanes and race cars I recommend using "Marguard" type Lexan scope
As far as a good cleaning fluids for all Lexan products (NOT Plexiglas tsk) I use to own and fly a small 190 MPH 4 place piston powered aircraft, one of the old timers at the local airport saw me buy a 1 gallon jug of "special", expensive spray window cleaner and told me that Pledge furniture polish was the same thing and a bunch cheaper, he was correct shock :shruggy
I use it, Pledge, on my airplane for 13 yrs. until it got total on the ground during a hail storm up here in Oregon and now that is all I use on my race cars with Lexan windows up scope twocents
Spray, liquid or any way you can buy it, they all work good for cleaning Lexan with a soft cloth like old cotton tee shirt, NOT paper towels tsk

If your going to cut your own?, McMaster Carr is probably your best source, they also have tinted sheets of Polycarbonate...

There are also many companies making precut "raceglass" (polycarbonate) but it's expensive...

FYI. Lexan (Polycarbonate) and Plexiglass (Acrylic) are often terms interchanged but both are very different. Lexan is much tougher shatter resistant but scratches kind of easy. Its bullet proof glass. Acrylic is hard does not scratch easy but is BRITTLE. My employer buys sheets of both thru Grainger. Carry on
