Lower ball joints for 1969 Chrysler Newport - 01/21/19 01:34 AM

Where would be the best place to buy lower ball joints for a 69 Newport ?
This does NOT have screw in lower ball joints .
The only supplier I have found is Rareparts in California , can order through Jegs . Is there anyone else ?
TIA

You asking for a Drum brake car, or a BUDD 4 piston caliper, disc brake car?
Big difference.
On a disc brake car, the ball joint is part of the steering knuckle, and big $$$$$$$ to pay, if one can be found.

assuming drum.
PST was and appears to be the most reasonable.

for the price of their kit, you get both ball joints vs the lowers alone from rareparts.

Rare Parts has the C-Body suspension parts for a good price, similar to the old MOOG quality parts. I have had good luck with them.

On a C-body, 68 was the last year for Budd brakes.

65-73 C-bodies use the same lower ball joints for drum and single piston 69-73 disc brake spindles.

The steering arm is part of the ball joint on these too.

If you can source a set of 69-73, preferably 73 disc spindles, now would be a good time to upgrade to disc brakes.

Oops, your right about the disc brakes, year.
My bad.
I knew that, got the year wrong, and you refreshed the memory banks in the old cranium.

How about Rare Suspension Parts in Stockton, California?

sorry for slow reply
customer ordered the PST kit . at least there will be some spare bushes , am I correct in thinking the upper ball joint is the same as a 68/69 b body ? the Newport upper takes the same ball joint tool .

no, it is different, but it is the same size tool.
tool works for later a, all b and c.
there is one size smaller for early a and one larger for trucks.
