Tom good addit'l info! I found it buried in my stash yesterday & was considering/wanting to rebuild it/race it behind this years' 360 stock car. Not sure if a LU is a good choice or not but I am assuming that it ain't.

Wide ratio, yes. 2.67:1 or 2.74:1 depends on which Chrysler document you read. "

I've seen 2.74 alot. I gotta bone up on what the LU is/does to see if this one is an appropriate candidate for my needs.

A lock-up trans will have about 3/4" of the converter end shaft machined smooth. Chances are it is a lock-up. The valve body and pump and/or front shaft has to be changed. I don't know the specifics because JW trans always did the conversion for me. There is a visual difference between 2.45 and 2.74 gear sets also. But I don't know what that is.

Converters do not interchange without the conversion.

Since a racing converter will be a critical addition, I for sure need to convert or grab another core. I got some homework to do here.
