Who manufactures an aftermarket tube chassis for 70 e body?

Looking at he first picture of the rolling chassis I wouldn't recommend nor use that frame
The main reason is the lack of cross frame stiffeners and the lack of a frame beyond the rear end mounts and into the rear of the unibody
On your deal I think it would be much smarter and easier to take the car to a good well known chassis builder and have them build the chassis and roll bar or roll cage to your needs Please let us know what you do and the results after you get the car done

Actually my brothers next build. I have my Demon and am probably done with builds at this point. Most likely he will end up building his own tube frame chassis. Thanks for the replies.

Give chassis engineering a call. I used this chassis on my 73 Cuda. It also is available in mild steel. If you have good fabrication skills it’s an easy build.

Opps, My bad your looking for a sgreet chassis not a drag chassis

I believer those chassis are meant to tie into the original unibody. So the unibody takes the place of the cross members you're concerned about.

It does say to weld part of the frame into the rear passenger compartment, to me that is not enough to help stiffen the chassis
Especially if it is a car from east of the Rockies with the normal rust damages done to the bottom of the cars back there from road salts
Being a SO CA desert guy I have only seen that stuff in pictures on our Mopars

That's a triangulated 4 link chassis (?), if you want to slow your Mopar, this is a proven solution.

Don't take my word for it (you likely won't anyway), do your homework.

A long time chassis builder told me this is true for any make of vehicle, not just Mopar. However, if you're not building a car that's going to see more track than street, who cares. The likelihood of ever owning the fastest street car around is pretty slim, so build what you like and can afford and pick your fights carefully !!

Looking at the web site and pics all I can say is he!! no......Ill stick with my "weak" unibody. clean engine bay? their stuff looks way more intrusive than a hemi in an Abody. expensive junk...

Might give Art Morrison a call. They’ve been around for over 30 years. I’m sure they’ve done a Mopar or two.

We used Art Morrison chassis on several high-end pro touring E-Body's, the best out there!

At $10k for the chassis you better seriously "like" it.

Since this isn't in the handling forum or drag race forum I'd have to ask is this an intellectual question, how can I spend money question, or is there a specific desired outcome you are after? There are a few minor mod/bolt/weld in options and numerous cut and fabricate options. Again, what are you trying to accomplish?

Obviously the original suspension and chassis can be beefed up to handle a variety of applications. Lost in Life has posts that seem to indicate they do not necessarily subscribe to the whole newer is better philosophy but have also asked about questions spending some big bucks on some more modern approaches as well, so could be sucked into that mindset.

Sounds like you're all a little skeptical about the full frame deal.. We've built several cars including 800+hp Mopars with our setup, and I can tell you they handle, ride & drive great and yes they improve the strength of the car. Have you counted the spot welds holding the stock front end to the firewall?

Triangulated 4 links are nice since they have plenty of adjustment, and we use high quality teflon-lined rod ends so they're quiet and allows the axle to articulate. Haven't really seen leaf springs do that other than binding the bushing or twisting the spring.

This post is not intended to convince everyone that our chassis are the only way to go on a resto mod.. But if anyone would like to discuss a little further please message me or give us a call. I'd be happy to lay out the advantages. A big one is that there's barely any floor cutting.. so your interior isn't affected much.
