I'm not looking for factory correct just functionality.

A1 Cardone 50-3800 is pretty inexpensive but it's for a 1976-78 B-body and I want to install it in my 1972 B-body. Will it work? I'm 90% sure it will but I just wanted to check before I pulled the trigger.

Maybe the push rod is different?

I installed a booster out of a mid '80's M-body in my wagon so I could run the aluminum MC without an adapter and the only issue I ran into was the hole diameter for the brake pedal shaft/pin was a different diameter. I just swapped out the push rod with the one originally from my wagon.

the only other thing I am aware of, and it may only be c-bodies, is that when the diameter of the booster changed to a larger diameter, it interferes with the shifter if it is column shifted.
you can't pull it all the way down into 1. D or 2 is fine, but 1 is blocked.

if you get one for the 79 magnum or Cordoba its the same diameter and uses a 2 bolt master/\. I've swapped 3 cars like this works flawlessly

I'm looking at a loaded booster with the master already attached so the proper pin should be with it.

What I'm looking to buy is the same set-up used on a 1978 Magnum. It looks like the booster is the same just the master cylinder is different.
