Radio conversions to modern stereo

I want to get a non-working factory AM/FM converted to modern stereo with an MP3 jack and could use some references on places that do this conversion. Thanks.

These guys did the stock AM radio in my '73 W200, so it is all modern internals AM/FM stereo with a jack to plug my phone into for tunes. Could have had either a mini-USB or bluetooth connection. 8 speaker output also, but the radio looks just like it did from factory. A little on the pricey side, but I like it.

The modern easy way to put tunes in an old car is to strap one or two Aiwa Exos9's in the back seat, and use your smart phone and one of the popular music services to feed the music to them via Bluetooth. They will pair automatically and provide left and right channels.

That way you can move the speakers from car to car, to the garage, house or anywhere you want. The sound quality and bass are stunning, and they play for 9 to 13 hours on a charge.

I just picked one up after hearing them playing while strapped to a guys bike on the wharf in Santa Cruz. I was blown away by the richness and power of them. It sounded like a live band, and then I saw where all that sound was coming from. It was nothing short of amazing, and all from his smartphone and two Exos9's. The guy who was playing them said he had searched for 3 years and had tried dozens of other speakers until he stumbled across these.

I will swap them from my house, to the garage, to my 3 cars back seats and have awesome high fidelity for a bargain price.

There's really no better way to go these days unless you want to spend $5k+ on a system.

Thanks for this! I was very pleased with the guys I linked. I have a '76 RC I'm working on also, and want a stock radio setup just like I got for my '73 truck. I will try this guy out for that one.
