The attaching bolts have a shoulder on them that centers the K as you tighten it down. You are using the correct bolts right? If you are having issues getting everything installed, the K could be bent or there could be old accident damage on the car itself.

Doesn't help to say you need special bolts if they don't show you what they are. You're welcome and I hope that helps.
