B body A833 fit in a Ebody? - 09/13/18 05:18 PM

Dumb question, but is there any difference in a 1970 A833 in a B vs E body? I was thinking of converting my 70 Challenger to manual and have a 4 speed out of my old 70 Bee. Any issues? Thanks

Fits just fine if it has the dual shifter mounts on the tailshaft. 1970 should have it, 69 and early no.

Tail shaft housing is different. The shifter mounts near the rear yoke. Some tail shaft housings have both mounting points. Shifter rods are different due to this fact as well.

Mopar made the NP833 fit both the B and E body in 1970 and later, not so on the shifters shruggy
My message is the 1970 B body NP has the shifter mount on the front boss and you need the shifter and shifter mount for the rear boss up scope

Depends on how early in 70 the car was built. Some had single mount tailhousing, most had the C99539 which will work in either a B or E body. Shifter and linkage will be E body specific.
