intake manifolds are different, the '94 has EGR, the '96-up don't.
injectors are different, 94 are ~23lb/hr, 96-up are ~19lb/hr
ECU is different.
van front accessory drive is slightly different that a full size trucks, too.
that said, you should be able to take the newer motor and swap the older motor's intake/injectors on and you're good to go.

Pretty much what was said above.
The electrical connectors for the injectors and computer are all different.
The power steering pump bracket is different.
The bracket holding the a/c and idler pully and alternator is different, as well as the a/c compressor.

Ok got myself a '94 model 360 mag engine today, with all the wiring.........going ahead with the swap.........wish me luck ! lol

May want to compare flexplates as the later units have weights and a neutral balanced converter. (handy for those early/late swaps like mine)
