1969 383 vin help

Picked up a clean 69 383.January casting, May build. Can anyone tell from what car it came from?

9R - something big like a C-body.

R is the plant code for Windsor, Canada and I believe they built C-bodies.

The block stampings are the build date May 26, 1969 and the R means regular gas (383-2).

Did Windsor build 383 Darts?

Nope. Hamtramck only.
