Stud between master cylinder and booster

Stud between master cylinder and booster - 08/17/18 11:04 AM

Hi,
can the studs that mount the master cylinder to the power booster be serviced? One thread doesn't look good. Car in question is a 1971 Charger with a Midland Ross booster.

Where can I find a stud (or a set of four...)?

will the booster halves seperate so you can access the bolts or is it factory crimped & or does it look like a rethreading die would clean the bolt?

My Midland booster can be disassembled. The thread on the stud is stripped, not possible to recut. I'd like to change the stud which looks to be pressed in. If I could find a correct one.
The pic is just for reference, found somewhere on the net. I wished mine would look like that...

You might want to contact Booster Dewey to see if it be pressed out.

If you PM me next weekend I can check on the boosters I have apart, but contacting Dewey might be faster.

Once you have the booster apart you can replate it and it will look like the one in the picture. The hard part might be finding the long bolt that clamps it together because factory bent that bolt in the process and it has to be cut off.
