Can a 1970 REACTION SHAFT from a 904 transmission 27 spline be put into a 1966 18 spline without changing anything else or what else may have to be changed.The 1966 is rebuilt now but needs the 27 spline for converter. Thanks

IIRC, and if you are talking about the input shaft I believe you need to change the front pump to the newer setup as well, but it's been 25+ years so it's getting fuzzy to me.

18 and 27 are the input shaft spline counts. When changing to the 27-spline input shaft you must also change to the '68-later reaction shaft support.
