The bypass outlet on the intake shoots straight out instead of being angled to the drivers side

Just ran into the same thing. I ended up going through all the hoses at NAPA and found one the right size with the right angle. Had to cut to fit.

speedway mtrs may have an angled hose that can work or be cut to work. they're online. EDIT I didn't see anything in their catalogue. & on second thought maybe some cheap hardware store NPT plumbing fittings will restore the angle you need. it is 3/4 NPT, maybe 2 short double male nipples & a 45 deg double female connector.

Might be your best bet, if you have a store that's helpful and will let you pick through their hoses. I did this at Advance auto parts when looking for a lower rad hose for my magnum swap.

I didn't have a problem with my bypass hose cause I kept the magnum front end.

I used a 90* brass pipe thread to barbed fitting.
