03 ram transmission

I just finished replacing the trans in my 03 dodge 5.7 hemi 4x4.
Every thing went relatively smoothly what could go wrong?
When i jumped in to start it up put in park and it reads reverse.
Tried going to neutral and skips past to drive. You can count all the gears with the shifter park and neutral just don't read on the dash and still wont start.
HELP!!

Might want to see if there is a linkage adjustment. Could look online for a how to video.

you can feel it hitting on all positions .... just electrically skipping over park and neutral

I'm waiting on answer too, mine won't show 1, but I can feel it's there with the detent.
