Busted Grease Zerk

Is there a special tap for getting a broken grease zerk out? I have a set but nothing that small.

Try tapping a small blade standard screw driver or something similar into the hole in the zerk gently & twisting it out.

They make a special tool for it.I have one.It has an open end to install them.Then it has a tap type also.plus one end is a remover.IIRC it cost me afew bucks.Ive had it for years though.Rocky

if you have a small old tap close to that size but bigger, grind 3 or 4 flats in a taper so the end of the tap will just fit in the hole in the broken zerk, then use a hammer and pound it in a little and it will work just like an easy out.

Or a left hand drill bit. I have a small set and come in handy at times.
