Quick Fuel Slayer carb leak help

Guys, I recently got my 383 buttoned up and did the run in, all is well except for a fuel sepage at the secondary shafts where the Vacuum lever is.

Once the motor is off I get quite a few drips from the area, is not a "Leak" type drip but seas out enough to be concerning.

It is Quick Fuel Slayer 750. 2 year old shelf life in a box, but was unused until now. Effectively a brand new carb

I would check the rear float level to see if it is to high
The only reason I can think of that can cause what your seeing is fuel dripping out of the rear venturis boosters onto the shafts

The fuel level is 1/2 way up the rear sight glass, it is a bit higher than the front though.

I would lower it to the very bottom of the sight glass and try that

On Holley type carbs with the level plugs, the fuel is just starting to trickle out over the bottom threads when the level is set properly. I'm not sure how much bigger the sight glasses are than the plug, but halfway up is way high, as suggested above.

When I am doing a quick and dirty fuel bowl R&R I turn the bowl upside down and set the top of the float parallel to the top of the bowl.

secondary fuel levels on holley and holley clone carbs should be lower than the primary side. this is by design to prevent fuel sloshing out the boosters during braking. metering plates don't like high fuel levels.
