I have the same rules & am using these on 2 engines.sealed power h405P 1.637CH with 10cc valve reliefs. badger flattops B290 1.576" You might check the offerings on eBay for 360 pistons & check their CH's. You just about need to mockup a shortblock & see how far in the hole they are & CC the heads & the available head gaskets felpro 8553pt/1008/1008/cometic. my last 8553pt's compressed to .053". Best would be to splurge for some custom pistons ($$$) to get .040" quench & be a hair under 9-1. precision measureing required. I'm sharing that last tip (quench) for you on the condition you do not race over here!

thanks, i'm in the Sioux City area.....lol.

i gues that's the best out there w/o going custom.

but i agree, engines run best with a tight quench , and that would take special pistons

that's good to hear! & I forgot about the KB hypers. The weiand intake allowed has slightly bigger ports than the performer. Good luck & we will stay in touch. RR

You need 93.6cc above the piston to make 9.0:1 on a 4.030 x 3.58 cylinder.
Subtract 62 cc and the difference is 31.6cc.
0.040" of the bore is 8.4cc = the gasket thickness
Leaving 23.2cc to find.
if half of the piston top was 0.222" down it would make the 9.0:1.
It's going to take a big hole in the piston if the rest is zero deck.
