Factory a.c. hoses? - 04/02/18 03:57 AM

Is there a source for factory style a.c. hoses? I'm looking to repair the a.c. on a 77 b200 van...

Some parts houses can make em up/just bring in the old ones (close but not OE). Do you need OE? I'm sure there are mailorder sources for aftermarket (classic industries maybe) not sure for an OE source. I'd Google it & try eBay

Local a/c shop here makes new hoses based on your sample and if they don't have the right connector in stock they will cut and weld your old fitting end onto a new crimp fitting. May sound hokey but we do it on semi trucks because in some cases the factory lines are either no longer available, too long of a wait or just rape-ishly expensive.

I had one done by a place in FL. for my Warlock II ('79). They used the factory ends and used a black rubber hose that looks real close to the factory one...the factory ones had small grooves running the length of the hose and the new one is smooth. No one has commented on the difference yet. It's not cheap...but what is. shruggy

If you decide to go that route, send me a PM and I will look up the info.

BTW, I have heard that some NAPA's can do it too.
