Agreed. I like Meguiar's GoldClass Carnauba paste wax. Two or three coats gives it a great shine.

I've used Meguiars NXT for years & love it. Fast & easy to apply & beads
water for a long time. Great shine, too. I use the matching NXT spray detailer as well.

while the topic is about shine, [not THAT kind ! biggrin] would it be appropriate to ask about a polish for aluminum wheels ? reason i ask, i bought a set of rear wheels for my humpback project costing $1200.00. while not really surprised at the cost, it was what i wanted, and they were custom made, so after selling numerous wheels in my collection i would never use, it was a wash, and i have more storage space now.[here the vacuum in the background ?] the issue is i wanted a cast finish, but these wheels only come with a cast center in a polished hoop. i figured, well, i'll just paint the hoop, but when i recieved 'em, they are too GORGEOUS to paint ! so what do i use to keep 'em like this ? i am now searching for a pair of stainless trim rings for the front which i will have polished to match the rear, and both sets will have the centers the same color. sorry if this is a 'jack ! please forgive me ?
