Cam question - 02/04/18 05:54 AM

Bought a new camshaft and lifters from guy online, supposed to be a Mopar .590 solid lifter cam. I measured the lobes, it's .570 lift with 1.5 rocker ratio. Part number on end is
4120662, have been looking for data , not finding anything with that number.
Anyone recognize the number? thanks

Hmm, curious.

P4120661, 296-110, .557"
P4120662, you say, .570"
P4120663, 312-106, .590"

Have you measure the lobe lift yet? If not do that and post it on here, all lifts advertised are usually gross lift, not net lift so the valve lash has to be added onto the lobe lift to get the same results runaway
Did you know Mopar has had a number of different vendors grind there cams? Not all of the vendors grind the same cam part number the same way with the same results between the different vendors puke
One of the many reasons I don't buy and use that brand anymore on any of my motors down twocents

I measured Lobe lift, it's .380 x 1.5 rocker ratio is where I calculate the lift at valve .570. Actual measured lift is .565 at valve with zero lash. Setting the lash to .025 reduces lift to .540.
I have run several Mopar cams and and found the lift on the box is actual lift at zero lash, within a few thou.

I'm puzzled by the odd part number. I looked at some old mopart parts catalogs, nothing listed. Also the number is not stamped, it's a dot matrix number. If I had a receipt, I would return it.
