Doesn't matter where you buy them, they are all made in china. I have them on my 71 RR, and they are junk, unless they have been improved. I can't even adjust the driver with the remote, I have to use my hand out of the window. They best bet would be, and what I'm gonna do when money is available, is to send some originals to the guy that took over for Jules, and let him restore them.

I know sometimes the remote doesn't work if you have the cable secured or routed incorrectly. Any chance that is what's effecting yours??

But the money spent on crap, that you won't like later on could have been spent on redoing factory mirrors that work, and look the way there are supposed to. None of the china mirrors have the correct mounting screws, and maybe not the correct counter sink for the correct ones. Plus you can get date coded glass from him.

Get date coded glass from who??? Resto Rick was last I knew and he doesn't anymore.

I put the Chrome Chinese style on my 71 Demon and they were livable not perfect.

Please understand I'm asking the group this question because I'm super apprehensive on any thing repro..

My car currently has 73-4 mirror on it so for me to right that wrong I have to find good used??? Where do I find with good non scratched glass since I don't have a source anymore.

I bought the OER ones from Jegs, and they are very nice! The remote on the drivers side works great, too!

I purchased a Passenger side mirror from Van's for my 1972 Charger and have no complaints. It mounted with no problem and looks good, much better than the pitted original that would not hold adjustment. A Mopar expert can probably tell it's a reproduction but it looks good to me. I have not tried the reproduction drivers side mirror, so I can't comment on fit or function.

I bought both the driver side & passenger side mirrors for my 70' Challenger from Classic. They look great to me. Much better than the old pitted mirrors I took off.

I saw the one's from Van's because I've had good results from them in the past, I never deal with the BIGBOX stores till I saw the price was same and then a 25% discount which brought this pair down to 230's or there abouts. The hard part is since I have to paint them it would suck if they fell apart shortly after doing all that.

Ron, Just read all this. I always sold a bunch of mirrors @ Carlisle and from 2012-2015 none to speak of except for a few Nos ones. Now go forward 2016-17 I sold a bunch. Most people who were purchasing them have said they were replacing aftermarket ones that have either failed with the remote or the chrome was already wearing through and they were going to chrome "real" ones. I also remember one guy said his passenger side mirror the whole pivot insert with the glass fell out driving down the road. I have no experience with them only the people I sold mirrors to....

Yep considering all the reports since I needed painted it would be too much of a chance having them fail after doing the paintwork.
