having a big problem need help!

I know this not the truck section but, my truck does not want to start! it will spin over hit once and keep on spining till i turn the key off.. could the the crank sensor got south on me? I unemployed i need help! I cycle key but i did it one time to many i just got part of the code p04...

What do you mean by hit once? Engine starts running and then goes back to "spinning" as in back to cranking mode?

Year? Engine? Did you check for spark? Fuel pressure?

sorry it a 2008 ram with 5.7 hemi auto..
the little throttlebody indictator or low voltage light is on..
it was running fine till i stop to get coffee..

Did you put cream and sugar in your coffee?

I think that's an emissions code. Either 02 sensor or Cat Converter. I'm betting 02 sensor. But I'm not familiar enough with late model stuff to know if that would cause your no start issue.

humm i never heard that causing that but this truck has been showing me thing i never seen before.. i never had this problem on my old trucks.. sigh...

would a weak battery could cause this?

The new Mopars are susceptible to weird stuff when the battery gets weak.

got it running i punch the bottom on the fuel tank it start up! yay! i guess im going need a fuel pump..

In-tank pumps use the fuel in the tank to help them cool; running a vehicle under 1/8 filled arguably shortens the life of the pump.
You can usually get a few starts out of it using a rubber mallet to whack the tank, but yeah, it's definitely time for a pump.

Why is he throwing a code? Unrelated I guess.

I also keep a minimum half tank in the manual pump old timers.
Keeps the moisture and other crud out.

It's just as easy to nickle and dime the 1/2 full line as it is the empty line.

This is one of the trucks that has the fuel issue with the TIPM

wow the bolts on the bed are frozen I could not get them loose even electric impact gun! I guess i drop the tank not looking forward to doing that..

PB Blaster and a blue wrench, if you have the room. Otherwise smack it with a hammer a couple times.

I changed the pump in my 06 2500. I dropped the tank. I used a couple floor jacks and lowered it enough to disconnect the lines and wires. Then dropped it the rest of the way. My sending unit was cracked at the top and was throwing evap codes. Also I replaced the locking ring as it was so rusty it was toast. Not a easy job but not the worst I ever tackled.

There's really no need to do that, Terry. It was tough to get the bolts out of the bed of my 2001 Ram too. But whichever way you decide to go, stick with it and tough it out...you'll get it one.

Is there enough room for a cheater bar on a 1/2" drive ratchet? What about a small ratchet strap on the end of the ratchet to get 'em broke loose? Let us know what you come up with...

My father had a electric 1/2 dr impac gun i couldn't get them loose.. I spray the bolts with pb blaster.. I'm going to my friend shop this weekend if it don't rain he has air compressor. i got my finger cross if that don't work then we had to drop the tank. i really don't want to do that I'm not sure if he has a transmission jack.. I don't have the money to rent one either..

I'm happy to say I got my truck going again! i want to thank my best friend for helping me!! I don't know what I would done without his help!!
