1972-73 Dodge Challenger with sunroof.

I was watching Counting Cars and when 2 of Dannys guys went driving around Vegas for possible cars to buy and flip came across a 72 or 73 Challenger in rough shape Petty Blue With White interior 340 car with a sunroof. Was the sunroof a option on these cars. It was the same style as all the 73 74 Chargers, Dart Sports had.

I THINK the sunroof was available on Challengers from 1970-74.

I know a few 72's were fitted with them, I don't know if 73-4 Challenger production saw them?

Question? I recently found out that the T-top Volare's, Aspen's, Cordoba's, etc. were outsourced for the roof. Is this true of sunroofs as well?

From 69-72, Mopars equipped with sunroofs were either done off site at ASC, as well as off line by ASC at Chrysler buildings, in 73 ASC supplied Chrysler with the hand crank equipped tub assemblies that the line worker could install on line during production

So my understanding is that the roof wasn't cut on the line? It makes sense that you wouldn't want a hole in the roof if the car needed to be transported. Especially in Detroit.

Cool, thanks DAYCLONA. My girlfiend's brother worked at the T-top install place. I never even remember the Volares having them???? I remember the Cordobas but not the (are they called?) F-bodys. Bill had a company t-top Volare with A/C and a /6 and a 3-speed stick. I thought it was pretty cool that he let his sister take to Florida for a vacation!
