it might be the flat pedal assy with the 2 integral threaded studs & if so you would see the 2 nuts on the engine side of the firewall, unbolt them then the pedal assy can come out/off of the carpet on the inside.

some of those accelerator cables have a small clip
that disintegrates to pieces over time.
you might have to dig into the plastic square with a paperclip
or wire to knock the pieces loose.

there is a spring steel press on retainer that slides onto the cable housing end, pull it out with a good set of pliers and your done scope wrench up
