Coating headders? - 02/27/09 02:37 AM

I got a place here local that will coat my headders for 200. They will do a dull gery or chrome. I have never done this befor on my other cars I just let em rust and replaced them every 5 years. will they last longer? If I go chrome will it blue or rust faster?

Have them coated... silver or chrome(what ever they
call it), this is one one of the sets I made and had
the local place here do them(QC Coatings... great work)
EDIT
if you dont go REAL lean no it wont blue and no its
hard for it to rust unless you beat on them with a
hammer(do that stuff before you have them coated)

Get them coated at AFI coatings in Piqua, Ohio. Almost Chrome ceramic (1,300 degrees) or black (2,000 degrees) inside and out for $245. I have the Almost Chrome on my big block TTI headers and 3" TTI H-pipe. You will not regret the move...
