b body axle length. help - 09/24/17 05:24 PM
friend of mine needs a set of axles for a 66-7 b body. have a few sets that i measured and they are all way shorter than the axle length chart on here and other places. does anyone know the actual length of a 66-7 b body axle? (not the housing) i know the diff is 5/8" narrower vs 68-70 so axle length shorter as well i would assume.
can anyone help with a measurement so i don't give him the wrong ones?
edit. its an 8 3/4

The number above is accurate at 28 7/8" from brake drum surface to end of splines. just measured one last week. 1965-1967 only.
