1966 727 B-Body trans cooler line routing

I am working on a 1966 Charger 318 poly automatic. I am replacing the transmission oil cooler lines (they were all cut up and patched with rubber splices) with the engine and transmission in the vehicle.

I have new pre-bent lines to put in. I see a boxed in hole in the K-frame on the driver's side under the motor mount. Is there any chance Chrysler would route the lines through that hole to protect them? Or should I just route them on the engine side of the K-frame?

I checked the service manual and online and found no information on this.

I'm pretty sure they don't go through that hole. Seems likely they would rub on the edges and this would lead to failure.

that's where I would think, on top of the K just to the left (inside side) of the mtr mt in the pic.

Exactly. Right up tight to the oil pan. Some set-ups even have a bracket in there somewhere close to the trans for the tubes to reside in.
Nice to see someone using a Poly today.
There are speed parts for them now too.
